Get to know Revit’s basic commands, tools, and techniques. The faster you learn to work with the interface, the more productive you’ll become. The more you use Revit, the more you’ll find that cer- tain commands are better suited for certain tasks. For example, you’ll develop a sense of when to copy and paste an element and when to move it; and when to use the spacebar instead of the Rotate tool.
There are also some tools that are less obvious, but that you should still get acquainted with, such as the Join Geometry tools and the Split Face and Paint tools. These tools will help you pro- duce the drawings you need with the added value of being intelligent and parametric.
In this chapter, you’ll learn how to take advantage of Revit selection and editing features and learn a few new tips and tricks along the way.
In this chapter, you learn how to do the following: |
- Select, change, and replace elements
- Edit elements interactively
- Use other useful tools
