Rendering

Raytracing the View

Once you’ve assigned materials and set up a camera view, you’re ready to make a rendering. To start a raytrace, follow these steps:
  1. Open a perspective view, and then open the Rendering design tab. Click the Raytrace button.
  2. Choose an appropriate scene type (exterior/interior).
  3. On the Options bar is a green button labeled Go. Click Go to start the raytrace process.
  4. When it’s complete, evaluate the image, and make changes to the camera, model, environ-ment, and materials. Repeat this process until you’re satisfied.
  5. When you like what you’re seeing, bump up the view size and increase the quality settings in the scene. The render will take longer, but the quality should be noticeably better
  6. To keep the rendered image, export the image, and/or capture the rendering using the options in the Rendering design tab. Capture adds the image to your project file, and Export lets you save it as a file on disk.
